Big Game Hunting Management Units
and Hunting Regulations
| Home | | Maps & Hunting Regs | | Alaska Hunting Information |
Hunting regulations in Alaska are, like elsewhere, becoming increasingly complex and restrictive particularly for non-residents. While unguided Alaskan hunts were easily arranged in the old days, non-residents are now confronted with a miriad of new rules and outright closures in many game management units. It should be noted that the rules for each big game management unit vary widely. Accordingly, it is recommended that even do-it-yourself unguided hunts be arranged for through a registered Alaskan guide, many of whom will provide fly-in drop off services and can advise you on the regulations for any particular hunting area.
